For a place locals still call the Little City, the summer of 2026 is landing in a surprisingly small footprint. Almost every new opening worth walking to sits on a straight line along West Broad Street between Founders Row and the West Falls development, with the year-round Farmers Market anchoring one end and the State Theatre anchoring the other.
If you have lived here for more than a few years, you already know the rhythm. Saturday morning at City Hall lot, Thursday evening at Cherry Hill, dinner somewhere on Broad. What changed in the last twelve months is how many new reasons there are to stay inside that loop instead of driving to Tysons or Mosaic.
The half-mile that ate the weekend
Three developments are doing most of the reshaping. Founders Row is finishing its second phase of food tenants. Modera opened its retail bays. West Falls started filling its town center. The addresses land within about a ten-minute walk of one another.
